A great way to start the day. Do you know how to walk mindfully?
We start the day with a walk into the paddocks behind our home. It is a dewy morning but not too cold. The rams see us first, then the horses and then the kangaroos. Howard and I are disturbing their routine. We notice a whole lot of new trees shooting up and enjoy watching the sunrise as we step over fallen branches and muddy pathways. Its a great start to the day.
I have some photos for you.
It has been a very relaxed week following a meditation retreat I enjoyed in Canberra. I am reminded of the Ted Talk by Jill Bolte Taylor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTrJqmKoveU
Jill explains so well what happens when we meditate and how good it is to take a break from the part of the brain that is DOING all the time. This week I feel so present and I am excited about the year ahead as I explore a life of BEING.
The rain has been lovely and sowing is going so well. The farm is lush and green. It's a beautiful time of the year, a time of renewal and hope.

HOW TO WALK MINDFULLY?
Awaken all your senses as you walk. Listen, see, hear, smell, touch. I crush leaves and smell them, feel the texture of the plants, look way off in the distance and close underfoot. Before we left i suggested that we don't talk about the business during the walk. It was nice to just take in the views and discuss what we noticed. Lovely...
